1965 gto headliners
Does anyone know what month Pontiac went from the star pattern headliner to the peforated headliner. I have been told that some early GTOs had star pattern headliners. My delima is that my 65 had a peforated silver headliner but you can only get silver in the star style. I am doing my best to make this car as correct as possible and i have just got to put a silver headliner in it and if some early 65s had star pattern i think i will be ok. this car was built in dec. 64. By the way i am not JimmyM he was my friend who bought the car new in 1965 and was tragically killed 3 months later in a train crash.

My '65 GTO was built the first week of September (1964) in the Pontiac Michigan plant and has the perforated style headliner. Headliner color is more of a light baby blue (black exterior).

Could build location be a factor? My late '65 (April 29 '65 build date) also had/has the perforated headliner.
