Question Need 79 Trans Am GM Door Weatherstripping - Where?

Hello.
My 79 TA has aftermarket door weatherstripping on it and the weatherstripping at the front of the door comes in contact with the inside body area in my opinion too soon before the door latches. I would say you can feel the weatherstripping come in contact with the body with about an 1 - 1.5 inches before the door closes. I have heard some weatherstripping is harder than others and I thought if I can find some geniune GM door weatherstripping I would replace it. Any ideas where a person can find it or at least parts numbers for both doors. Any help would be appreciated and Thanks in advance.

Metro Molded is not bad repop, soem of the original GM stuff may be hard. Even 8 yrs ago when I used some it started cracking and pulling apart at the corners after a year.

I have Metro seals on my doors and they shut fine. They are much softer and pliable than the ones from OER. I tried them first and kept them on the car for about 6 months. There always is a break in period where the seals compress and form to the opening. The OER stuff did not conform and remained as rigid as it was when I installed it. Check out this web site- www.Fbodywarehouse.com
They have some very informative videos on how to install all sorts parts on our cars.
