original 68 electric movement
Hey all,
I bought a dash clock for one of my 68's and at the same time ordered the quartz movement from Borg as I was told the clock was probably not working. Had everything sitting on a shelf for awhile now but decided to tackle the rebuild. Rebuild was a piece of cake but I discovered that the original movement was still working!! Thought of selling the quartz (aftermarket) movement but decided to put it in the original housing. I was careful with the original movement and boxed it in the container the aftermarket one came in. I ran it for a bit on the bench and kept time accurately (ran for abount 5 minutes). I found out that the aftermarket movement acts differently than an original (sweeps vs. tics) so if someone needs this for their 68 PM me and it's yours. Might work in other years too but I'm not sure. Dave
