Hi everybody! Im building a 74 Ventura. It has a pontiac 350. Id like to put a 455 in it. I want the car to run 11's on motor. Im looking for the right combination. Can anybody suggest the right engine combo,trans,stall,what the rear end gear ratio should be? It has been restored the back&front bumpers and doors have been lightened. The rest of the car is factory.Id appreciate any help.I have a friend with a 70 nova big block.I want to beat.He is running 11'5.Id like to run that time. Everytime i see him he ask how my boat anchor is doing. HE PISSING ME OFF! Thanks guys. Car should be out by end of May

Have you tried the street threads,there's alot of good information for 400 and 455's engines.

Out of curiosity: What was the weight difference of the doors; before and after lightening???

I took the door skins off and put new ones on while i was doing that i took out the impact beams.I saved about 17-18 Lbs per door.
