Default NEED TO ADJUST IDLE SCREWS

I need to tweak the idle adjusting screws but can't get to the driver side screw. Does anyone know of a specific flex driver or any other tool that will reach to get to the drivers side screw? That thing is definitely hidden.

(NOTE: should say idle mixture screws)

Does your car have power brakes? The PB fitting at the back of the front carb really helps to hide that drivers side screw.

I use 6" of vacuum hose to put on both heads of the screws(needle nose pliers helps get them on)and adjust away. I've even left them on and routed them under the center air filter base and it looks factory to the uninformed

Sounds like this just might work, I'll give it a try.

vacuum hose works fine. You may have to rotate the power brake/vacuum linkage fitting in the front carb base out of the way for access to the driver's side idle screw. This is not hard to do.

If you can "clock" the fitting on the front carb when the manifold and carbs are on the bench it makes life easier to adjust the mixture screws later. Vacuum hose works fine.

I had a rig at one time from the 60s that let you adjust the mixture screws from the air horn area using a similar idea to the carb screw drivers but more permanent.

The carb needle screw tools are cheap too at some of the swap meets/carb shows.
