Mangled the power steering reservoir while separating it from the pump for a rebuild. Is there a source for correct P/S reservoirs either new or used? Or if someone has a nice one they would maybe sell?

I'm curious how you managed to mangle your reservoir;
No ill intents from the query, but I planned on rebuilding mine - so tips would be appreciated.

I was beating on the reservoir with a rubber mallet attempting to get it apart. After 52 years of service, it did not want to come apart. In addition, I accidentally dropped it on the concrete floor which bent it even more. I see that the rebuilt units available often have rough looking reservoirs on them so I guess getting the two parts to separate can be difficult and it was for me.
