BTW there is a big Pontiac section over there as well. (I hang out there a lot and have several "sister" threads to the ones I have here)

Lol, I actually met and talked to her and her husband in Auburn 2 years ago at the Auctions America event. She also had her baby girl there. An outstanding person and a real car girl.

Besides being there for 'work', I have to say that am really glad to have gotten some chat time with a bunch of people I don't see in person nearly enough, as well as some folks I know and saw but didn't get to chat with.

Hope everyone had a great time and travels home went smoothly.

Have a meaningful Thanksgiving, guys.

You had a much better location this year compared to last I think. I went over to say high twice but you were in full presentation mode each time so I didn't want to interrupt.

Good show for you business wise?

Aye. We handed out hundreds of fliers and sold several following the show...good stuff.

My GTO went through "Vintage Certification". It was a nearly 3 hour inspection of every inch of my car. 43 year old Goat earned "Legend" which means it was over 85% original in 3 of the 5 categories and was 83.6% overall. Final score was 2,526.4 points out of a possible 3,022.3

Here's my car back home Sunday night. Streets were dry for the 22 mile ride.

Probably the only Legend to survive all these years of Chicago winters too. Plus, the only one driven home! Congrats Bill!

I really liked all the pics of the Hemi cudas in the pic post. I still today wonder what happened to my Hemi Cuda. I call it mine but really it never made it to my drive way as when I went to get it after my dad drove it he said I'd kill my self with it. But I think my Bird was faster at the time , but he said no & wouldn't sign for me to get the loan , so it sat on the dealers lot for another month & then disappeared. I almost cried when I came home & saw it was gone. My mom was the bookkeeper at the dealer & I lived only 1/2 a block from the lot. I could see it out my bedroom window until it was gone on a wed. afternoon. It was red, all red with black interior, 4 spd. car with AM radio steel wheels with little hub caps. A pretty basic car. Had both outside mirrors & a tilt wheel, with a really dash. No console. It was in Niles MI. At least thats where it came from in 1970 from Lee Dennis Briggs Chrysler/Plymouth/Imperial. It was dealer traded to I don't know where. My mom wouldn't tell me, both my parents knew I was very upset about not getting the car. Then In 1987 my dad & I were looking at cars at a used custom dealer lot in Warsaw IN. & saw a Hemi Challenger on the lot at that time for $ 79,995.00. He told me then if I'd known you were going to take such good care of your cars I'd let you get that Cuda back then. Ya,,, doesn't do me real good now ... As I had then bought my 73 GTO new & still had it which I still do now. I told him look I'd have a car that would be worth 100K or so now instead of one that will only get to about 50K if I'm lucky at it's peak. But as they say fore thought is 20/20. That 70 Hemi would only have cost me $ 3100.00 back then & about $ 41.00 a month & I was making about $ 160.00 a week then. Talk about bad luck!!!!! But as I started to say I wonder if it's still out there or did it end up like a few of them wrecked & put in a junk yard as an up in coming new Nova.??? Any body have any idea or even have this car?????

Here's where mine went...I sold it for $54K back in 1987 to Otis Chandler...

At least I have the satisfaction of knowing that I restored it and it is still in the exact same conditon as when I sold it back then. I don't really think any one has driven it since I sold it. I had a lot of fun with the car but it was too slow. It only ran a 14.05 at 99 pph at the 1986 Musclecar Nationals.

BTW, that white on white hemicuda ragtop in the display looked a little different back in 1986 at the Musclecar Nationals. It was running a propane-powered, supercharged 426 hemi and was fully tubbed at the time.
