I'm humbled, my 81 was a grand with a bad engine.

It needs a lot of help, but this is my 1981 Firebird, was originally a 4.9 Pontiac, now a 400 pontiac with edelbrock carb, performer intake, and a built TH350.

1st pic of my espirt when I bought it in 1988, fresh from Arizona, so no rust interior was toast. Redid interior. I sold it in 1994. 2nd pic is how it looked when I found it and bought it back in 2011. It sat outside a long time, so it then had a toast interior again and floor pans rusting from inside out. 3rd pic is after stripping to bare metal and getting it back to original color, new floors, new wheels....interior still toast.

Sorry if a repeat here, but wanted to post this new dealer lot shot .

Was included in an old HPP article but the associated article links Sez "404 Not Found" image titled
"1977-trans-am-on-the-dealer-lot-in-1977/8058443/1977-pontiac-trans-am-rear-view"

Note the lack of trim rings (not installed yet) on the Rally II equipped TA in the background and looks like a
"Blue Bird" parked next to yellow w red gut TA.
