Just spent 2 hours cleaning the underside of the hood. not the motor, the bottom of the hood. Used Zep Orange, worked pretty good.

Had a 77 SE back in 1987 with 20k miles , auto car, just sold a 78 30k mile white t top auto car last year. You know something , my favorite of bunch is this one. Nothing like grinding gears ! The 400 4 speed really just makes these cars.

ill have him resend them in the morning. My insurance agent took a bunch of pictures , and stored them on his computer. All he has to do is send them to you. Just left a reminder for him on his voicemail. Should be there by 12 noon or so tomorrow. For real!

That is a gorgeous, fully original car. I do have to ask, are those shaker decals in the "correct" locations?

Sorry for the delay, will send fresh pictures after detaiing it next week. Concerning placement of Shaker decals, i'll say this. my budy had one brand new, and under warrenty, took it back to have the spoiler gaps realigned, and have the decals redone to correct the placement "issues'. These cars were not well put together. That being said, after two weeks of ownership, I cannot say 100%, what may or may not have happened to this, or any car, in almost 40 years of exsistance. Ive heard storys, but never seen, of the paint falling off these cars, and being repainted under warranty We believe this car to have 100% original paint, factory flaws and all. Had a buddy who sold one with 33 miles ten or so years ago, who simply says the build quality was "crap'. This car was sold by the original owner in 1985 with 15k miles, and the second owner drove it 9k miles to equal 24000. I can document that with the car ad with exact miles, in 1985, that's on the title. For 35 grand Im not complaining. Any original owners out there have comments about the build quality of "Disco Era' Trans Am's?

How do the mudflaps protect the flares. front flaps "might" protect the rear some, front flares -zero protection and rear flaps
partially protect bottom of rear quarters.

Cars are notorious for front tires kicking up debris along body side leading to rock chips along bottom of rear of the doors. What I mean are body splats in front of back tires. Those wide front tires can ruin the sides in one season.

I bought a few trans ams new in the 76-81 era. a friends dad owned one of the local Pontiac dealerships by my house and I was in there on a weekly basis looking and drooling on the new trans ams. I can tell you I have seen every kind of piss poor alignment from spoilers, to decals. one of mine came in with a mismatch of regular style and german style decals on it. carpet being cut too short at the console and at the back edge by the back seat. tail pipes misaligned, I could go on forever. and don't forget how wavy the doors all were. I have seen ta 6.6 cars with the decals all the way to the back of the scoop and all the way to the front, crooked, one at the front on one side and one at the back on the other side. bottom line quality control was in the hands of the dope smokers back then. BUUUUUT that never stopped me from loving those cars.
