I'm not sure what's going on with this. I just got an email from an Austin McDonald. (austinmcdald601@gmail.com)I also received an email for a Chris Beck. (cgbeck@hotmail.com)Hmmm I'm very specious about this. Something is telling me to run, which is what I'm gonna do. I'm out. I've asked about paypal and reply was to send as family and friends. My understanding is your not protected as F&F..

You guys should be communicating through private messages if you want to share your email addresses. I would never allow anyone to email me through the forums software, if someone needs to send me an email they can send me a PM to get my email address.

Allowing emails to be sent through the forums gives anyone who clicks on your email link another avenue to pursue their scams, protect your email.

When setting up your preferences here don’t enable emails, you’re leaving yourself wide open to scam emails if you do.

I had someone pick my email off another forum. I was looking to purchase something. They knew exactly what I was looking at and asked for a friends and family payment. I obliged and was beat. luckily it was only 20 bucks. But I learned my lesson about buying on the forums.

Charles,

I am sorry, but I did not get those emails until after your post. I assumed you were not interested. I have not been on this forum for quite some time, but hoping to liquidate some of my Pontiac parts. I have no idea who this Austin person is, but obviously, I need to update my awareness of the desperate people out there trying to create scams. Thanks for providing the information that you did. I know not to be so trusting in the future..
