Default 12 bolt under a "G" body

Are you wanting to put a 12 bolt under a "G" body? I put a 12 bolt (70) Monte Carlo under my 78 Malibu using the South Side Machine bar kit #1328. I think they are out of business now but you may find one on E-Bay. I actually sold mine there last year (went with ladder bar/coil overs). The key to using these wide rear ends and getting the tires inside the wheel well is a wheel with a 5 1/2 back spacing. My wheels were 8" wide. I ran 275X15X60 Hoosier Quick Time tires or 28X11.50X15 ET streets. If you can find one, a Grand National or "T" Type 10 bolt 8.5 rearend is a better choice and will bolt right in using your existing control arms, etc. Hope I have helped.

well, the only thing you have to do is get the right upper control arms that are made for this swap. everything, else, bolts right in. but, you will have to get a different back spacing wheel since it is 1" wider on each side. but, there is a guy on ebay that sells double adjustable upper and lowers for this swap for like $280 buy it now

Default g-body 12 bolt rear

I can make you up a 12 bolt g-body rear that will only need the upper control arms and I can even supply them for 150.00 if you like. all the rest of the mounting points will be stock and the length will only be 1" wider that is a 1/2" on each side. I can make it exact but the axles will be more expensive. 28 1/2 is not as common as the 29". PLUS you will have 30 spline axles to boot with this set-up. Race away. Let me know. Jim

about 1250.00 with out control arms. But your getting a 12 bolt not and 8.5

New axles
New eaton type clutch posi
New yukon axles
New mega bearing kit with all new seals bearings (even axle bearings and seal)
Made from stock GM housings so all replacement parts can be bought from any auto part store in the future. NO Crazy expensive trick stuff just good strong off the shelf parts .
