Default Thinking about buying a GTA

Just like the title says! Let me descibe the car and tell me what you think as to how much of a bargain it is or not. The body is awesome, it has had one repaint and will clean up pretty good. The interior is average with the driver seat pretty ripped up but everything else is in decent shape on the inside. Now the drivetrain the engine is out and would need to be gone through, the old owner said he re-ringed and bearinged it due to a spun rod bearing. It has an overdrive trans, the engine is a 350 chebby.I think the car has 140000 miles on it. I would be a budget build. Its an auto so the wife could cruise it[dont ask]. whaddya think, a few saturdays and its running or could I make some money parting it out? The guy wants 1000 bucks for it, maybe I could get it for 800. Any and all feedback appreciated.

I paid almost that much for a set of GTA wheels back when you could still buy those things new. Now you can get a whole car for that price?!? Take it!

Default GTA

I bought my GTA a year ago this May. Flew out to California to look at it. The guy would only sell it to me if I Did. I paid 1500.00 just to have it trucked back home. Worth every penny. Gunmetal grey 350 cloth 18038 original miles. Turns heads were ever I go. Could be faster but thats not what I bought it for. FUN CAR!!!

I bought a 1990 Trans Am in 1992. 20,000 miles and it looked like it was new. That car pulled both my brother and I into the Pontiac hobby. He now has a 69 Bird and 02 TA and I have a 72 TA. I wish I still had the 90 TA. Fun cars with alot of potential.
