#31 Heads
I understand that these heads basically had the casting number ground off, and #31 stamped in it's place.
Anyone have pics of this? I'd like to know how it was done. |

31 heads
31 heads had the number cast into the center exhaust ports and were for 68 cars. 67 ram air GTOs started production with 670 heads, then some 670s were altered by grinding off the 6 and the 0 and stamping in a leading 9 for a "97", then very late 67 ram air cars had 997 heads. I can take a pic of the 31 casting if you would like to see it.

#31 is cast on top of the two center exhaust outlets, not stamped.

Ok, I was thinking of the #31 heads being for '67 for some reason, but I guess I'm really interested in the '67 heads.
A pic would be cool. Thanks, Tom |

31 heads
Here's a couple of pics, one from my GTO, the other from my Firebird. I think I have a pic somewhere of a 97 head but I would have to try and dig it up.

It's the '67 Heads that I'd be interested in actually now that everyone has clarified it for me.
