Quick chassis paint out .., Rustoleum?
I am doing a full suspension upgrade, trans and rear end rebuild. The underside of the car is now accessible for painting from front to back. This is a sharp driver quality car so I am just looking to "blackout the frame and pans as a "canvas" for my powdercoated suspension parts and drivetrain.
What would you suggest for a quick spray over paint and undercoating? I am not interested in stripping undercoat, etc for this. I was thinking of a power-wash, Rustoleum Rusty Metal Primer on bare mertal and a coat or Rustoleum Satin Black. Anything better or easier? |

Rustoleum works great. We spray it out of a 1.8 tip primer gun, thinned with urethane grade reducer. We add a bit of "Japan Dryer" (no clue what it is and thT is its name... My local hardware store sells it). Works great.

Would you do satin or flat? I am thinking flat since it will be going over some rusted metal and undercoated floor pans.

Went with the 7777. Just finished powerwashing and painting to follow.
