I remember Phil taking Chris Cassperson's GTO down the strip at PITP. The gas cap had been left off, and he spewed a gasoline stripe for probably 200 feet!

I just found out yesterday myself, I left him a birthday greeting on FB and his sister messaged me with the sad news, great guy and car enthusiats RIP Phil !!

Met Phil at Norwalk at least 20 years ago. Always the life of the party and a great guy. Another good dude taken too soon. I'm sure he's doing massive burnouts in his 65 right now not worrying about taking out the spider gears..

Wow, I was just thinking about him. I set up his ring and pinion at Norwalk one year after he broke the carrier. Great guy.
