Default "A" Pillar???

I'm having my interior painted Parchment. Is there a peice of trim that goes along the windshield near the vent window. My body guy says that there is a peice he has to paint white, but I can find any in my stuff when I took the interior out.

If there is a piece to be painted...Where can I get them???

Thanks

AJ, is the metal part of the dash and the dash pad going to be black. If so I'd paint the A-pillers black too. Parchment dash and dashpad with the A-pillars the same would look strange. I pretty sure cars out of the factory that were parchment were done this way with black carpet. But it's your car.

Just my , no offense meant..

He might be referring to the plastic piece at the top at headliner. My 67 does not have anything on the A pillar other than the trim piece as mentioned although my interior is black.

Guy's

The trim piece is along the sides of the windshield. I think they get painted white. My dash and dash pad are black.

I don't remember taking this peice off???

I think there is no trim piece there, just the metal frame. I could be wrong, but that is what I recall finding out when I was looking that piece for my car.

There is no trim between the A pillar and the windshield itself.

Only the welting going up on the back side and the plastic trim at the headliner material.

Yup.... I went to the body shop to see what he's talking about.. Just the flexable trim up the side..

Thanks

As Charles says... and it will be black, as is the dash and dashpad.

maybe he is referring to the little metal 'L' shape at the top of the pillar that covers the corner of the headliner and then continues to the windshield lace.
