Happy 101 birthday, Ed. You have built some great camshafts for Pontiacs over the years.

There's a good article in the June edition of National Dragster about Ed and Alex Xydias (who will also be 101 this year). I'm amazed that Ed still owns the T roadster he built in 1938! I don't remember just when he added the Maxi conversion with overhead exhaust valves.

My favorite was the Isky MAGNUM. 245/245 with 104 LSA. I know where 1 is on the shelf.

I got to meet Tyree at the 2010 GTO Nats in Wichita. All of the “Legends” were at a round robin speaking engagement. Arnie would roll his eyes every time Tyreestarted talking about him. That was an awesome event!!

May be wrong on this. but I think Isky may have been the 1st to make Solid roller retrofit cams and lifters for street driven Pontiacs.

Happy Birthday indeed!! Being located on the West coast, I never had the pleasure to meet and learn something in person from The "Camfather". I did meet Jess Tyree here locally at Kill Kare Dragway a dozen or so years ago and he was great to talk with. Arnie Beswick was at that event as well and as mentioned when those two "got into the zone talking about the old days", it was pure magic to just stand there and take it all in.
