Love that pic, they took horrible care of that car. Also funny since I used to have a white 70 GTO and drove it everywhere even in the snow. I took mine hunting and had many deer in the trunk.

Car is a true RAIV Judge. I know the car and owner. It was restored years ago and we'll cared for now.

Great picture!! Thank you for sharing. I never shot a buck more than 5 points so I'm jealous of the car and the deer.

Pretty much the same type of rust occured here in Southern Ontario. My dad's '68 Linden Green Beaumont SD396, a friend's 'Cuda. Many a car lost to salt and slush. It was better when I lived in Alberta. It got so cold that salt was useless. So they just put sand on the roads. When I got my '74 Duster there in 1986, there was no issue with rust, even cosmetically.

My GTO spent at least 25 years on the road in the Twin Cities. Burt when I dropped the trans for a rebuild, I took the cross-member out to the yard and power-washed it. When I finished, there were 2 pounds on the tarp I laid down... Yes, I had to weigh it, just out of curiosity. And the paint on the cross-member was shiny factory black. The only rust was on the ends that were covered by the insulators. Go figure. The body sheet metal was also very clean.
