Here's a good example of what to watch out in these eBay ads. This 65 GTO race car in Florida with a fiberglass front end has no engine or trans, but the ad doesn't state that nor does it show pictures of the engine bay. This car is a rusted shell and nowhere near worth the $12K starting bid IMO.

68 Firebird in Maine at NR $15K that claims to have a transplanted 400HO engine. People like to throw out "HO" when they put a cam in it, but ya never know. Crappy paint and needs a steering wheel and some Rally I rims and remove the 80's vibe ladder bars.

72 GTO NR $18K in Massachusetts. Has a 69 428 and 4-speed. In the 80 this is what you did to your ride to make it unique. I'll bet the guy who came up with the paint scheme bought a plastic model and mocked it up. Not a 242 car, so you can paint it whatever color you wanted.

69 GTO blue top convertible Ram Air car at $5K with a reserve in Canada. Also lists it as a Judge and shows no docs to prove that, but it does have all the ram air stuff (which is uber rare) and the Judge decal on the glove box with the trunk wing. Sketchy ad for sure for a car this supposedly rare. Cool car.

Two big questions; is it legit and is it a Canadian bondo bucket?

Says BC car.
If it lived to close to the coast it may have surface type rust. If it lived in the interior area it may or may not have been subject to road salt. Hard to say. |

Those aren’t ladder bars they are slapper bars. What you don’t know is some of that 80s vibe is actually called “day 2 “ some of those type parts. Like 15x4 inch cragars are now worth $2000! Some of those slapper bars? $1000. So you may pass up a gem the days of cars being shunned for looking the way people wanted them in the first olace are going away fast. Guys are taking high end yenko cars and restoring them to this livery rather than stock. Not the best example . Period correct cars like this are doing very well.

Another dealer car - 69 Firebird 400 (claims to be factory) in Orange and white in Illinois at $52.9K BIN OBO. Super rare color combo and it looks awesome with the white interior. Not a fan of vinyl tops, but in white it looks awesome. Really nice looking engine.
