Default Formula Wheel Horn Button Removal

I'm getting ready to swap a steering wheel and need to remove the horn button. I've done that before but it's been 25+ years ago and I don't remember exactly what was involved. So remind me....does it just pry straight off or does something else need to be done to disengage the grippers?

Thanks,
Eric

I pull it while I put a little pressure on a finger with a pick to ease the pressure.

yes just pry it up at any location & it should pop off. usually just your fingers will work if you can get under an edge, if not a small putty knife or pry bar slid behind it.

If you need your collar redone to perfect factory look with much better durability, I will be doing these again this winter.
