Arrow My 66 Sport Coupe..............

Considered a "Survivor" due to it's original paint, glass, interior, and chrome. I removed the matching #'s drivetrain and replaced it with a 462, 700R4, and Chebby 12 bolt. I also added new foam to the original seats and replaced the carpet and headliner. All mods are reversible as nothing was cut or altered that can't be restored to original.

Here is my contribution. It is a 66 Tempest that has 65k original miles on it, that came as a bare bones 326 with 3 speed with only options are radio and heater. It is still all stock except I have added a correct bench seat 4 speed setup, quick ratio power steering and plans to drop in a 455 this spring. I have owned tons of GTO's and Firebirds, but this car by far has been the most fun for me to own. I guess it is because I am not afraid to drive or modify it without hurting its value.

Default 66 Lemans

Probably not what you want to see but here it is anyway.

66 LeMans Nightwatch Blue, Parchment interior, 326 3/4spd floor shift car. Must have been beautiful when new. I never ran the PHS but still have the tags.

Bought it for $75 and got bucket seats, clutch/brake pedals, floor shift column, complete dash, AM radio, front clip, NICE set of beltline trim, full glass set, and some other misc parts.

Had to put it out of it's misery.

Default 66 Tempest

Here is my 66 Tempest Post. Bought it basically as you see it but it has fenders and a GTO hood just not installed now. My plan was to make it a drag car but lack of time has put it on the back burner. I have way too many other cars going to build this one right now.

Originally a OHC6 stick car Cameo White, Black interior, no AC, no ps, no pb, no option car. Has a 67 floor shift column now but I suspect this was a 3 on the tree originally.

MINT quarter panels with no rust. The bottoms are not even surface rusted. Frame is mint also. Floors and trunk are rusted out. Looks like windows leaked and water sat inside for years.

I also have two complete fiberglass front clips for this car. One lift off single piece unit, then a set of VFN fenders, hood, front & rear bumpers. Also have fiberglass doors and decklid. I'm hoping to build a lightweight drag car someday with these parts. I also may sell the whole works for the right price.

Habanero, it looks like your car has a hard post, while others, like mine do not... why is that?

Tempests were post cars standard, while Lemans were hardtops....

Same here, my Tempest is a hardtop. I take it the hardtops cost a little bit more.

They could be had either way........but the Tempest was a post as standard equipment, Lemans was a hardtop as standard, same as a GTO.
