Well, you'd still be in the Netherlands.
But you wouldn't be having so much fun!

You are welcome, glad to help.

Man, I can't wait to get my dash back in and my light switch hooked up so I can pull it out and do this mod. Would it be possible to do it before I install everything?

All you have to do is move that one wire on the switch connector. You can do that now.
See post #22 on page 2.

Sorry, Charles, I just couldn't resist having some fun with this. I read the whole thread for the first time this morning.
My dash harness is just hanging there so it will be simple to change the wire.

Jazz, it wasn't all that big of a deal. Just a 3 or 4 hour phone call to Old Goat and some running back and forth to the garage. GM actually made it possible but they didn't know it, or didn't want to share it back then. All we did was the head scratchin 43 years later. LOL

Default Best stickey Ever!

5:30 Pac. time cruising the forums and drinking coffee. I get a wild hair go out in the garage and perform this modification in less than 5 minutes! WOW how cool is that! Thanks to the folks who did all the hard work and phone time. It works on Tempest's too LOL. Here is a spy photo taken about 5 minutes ago my car is almost done. Just waiting on my bath-tub clips so i can install my side trim.

So, do it, and if you don't like it, un-do it.

Yeah Paul, it's just as easy to undo as it is to do. Only takes the time to pull the switch out and change the wire over.

At least look at it for a couple of nights. Let someone see it and ask what they think about it. Heck most won't even realise what you've done until you clue them in.

As I've said before, for me it's a safety issue. And I don't care how unoriginal it is. Tho as an added bonus, it does look pretty damn good. Shawn just proved that.

Yeah but I kinda like that stealth Christine sorta look. Remember what that car looked like in the rear view mirror of the Camaro before it got demolished?

You can say that again Charles. Just kidding. LOL

Besides that Paul, those parking lights on with the headlights sure looks purdy. I just can't believe GM had it all set up in the switch and never used it. Boy were they stupid..... just like they are now.

I'm gonna do my 65 tomorrow. As far as 'looks' go,i think the 66-7 looks better than 64-5.When our 66 was new my mom used to call the parking lights 'cat-eyes'.
