Send me a PM.
Edit: Actually, I already sent you one manual and you had the other that these pics came from. Same with the wiring.

Default Thanks for all the help

I have seen the detail shown in the previous post and I an grateful for the help.

My question is does some one have a photo of how it installs

the mechanism has a round hole to insert the handle to mount with a clip to hold it in place the problem is the hole is to small to mount the handle through

The wire that moves when you pull the lever is about 7 inches away from the release mechanism on the brake assembly

sorry for my lack of not clearly explaining

that is why i think the photo will show how it installs

THANKS

Ignore the hole, it is unused on Firebird and just sits below the dash looking awkward. That's for the fixed handles with a rod like earlier years and Camaro. They also have a different mounting point with lever and hole for a rod instead of a cable.

Camaro style with rod.

The handle assembly simply mounts through the dash, retainer clip to secure.

Then the very end of the cable locks between the two prongs that pull on the release mechanism, pull that up and then press the nylon bush into place between the two fingers above the unused front hole.
