Default ISO 1966 GTO Roof Skin that fits

I know it is along shot, but after searching old posts, it looks like the only repro roof skin was designed to fit 66-67 Chevelles. Can anyone confirm if this is still the case?

Ames has the repro roof skin but mentions that it falls short of the rear, and needs some massaging to get it to fit.

Thanks

Anyone recently install one of the Chevelle roof skins that can provide some details on the install?

My body man builds a lot of chevelles, so when I told him that the catalog said a chevelle skin was different than a GTO, he came out and took measurements from my 66 GTO. He ordered a skin and it came in as an AMD part, the fit was great, he said the skins were the same. I can take and post pictures, if needed.

Roof skin might be the same but be sure to measure.

Bought a 65 Chevelle package tray at a swap a few years back and found out the hard way when I got home!

My Ames catalog # G37, no longer says that the skin is for a chevelle or that it may need work to fit. I believe some of the older catalogs mentioned something like that? I can't see GM tooling up a different A body skin for each division. I believe they're all the same to the 1/4 seams and may be different on down to the quarters. My guy spot welded mine along the front & back glass channels, welded solid at the 1/4 seams and used structural adhesive along the drip rail areas. It looks great and the AMD part is just as stout as an original skin, I was worried about having the oil can effect. PS I just checked the AMD site, the roof skin only shows up under a chevelle search, but states,
This fits:
1966 - 1967 Buick GS (All Models)
1966 - 1967 Buick Skylark (All Models)
1966 - 1967 Buick Special (All Models)
1966 - 1967 Chevy Chevelle 2DR Coupe
1966 - 1967 Chevy Malibu (All Models)
1966 - 1967 Oldsmobile 442 (All Models)
1966 - 1967 Oldsmobile Cutlass (All Models)
1966 - 1967 Pontiac GTO (All Models)
1966 - 1967 Pontiac LeMans (All Models)
1966 - 1967 Pontiac Tempest (All Models)

Chevelle has a shorter roof than the Tempest/GTO.

If the roof was shorter on a chevelle, then the glass wouldn't interchange with the 66-67 BOP A bodies.

I can verify that the sail panels are shorter on the Chevelle roof. So much that the vinyl top belt moldings won't interchange. Olds was the same as Pontiac.
