12si over charging
I have a 12si that intermittently over charges. I have no idea what it originally was on. I disassembled it and found nothing loose or shorted. I hate to just replace the regulator on a guess. The new ones are probably Chinese anyway. Are the 10si regulators the same? It may start over charging right away or it could work okay for half hour or more. It could over charge for a couple of minutes or or 15 minutes or longer. I would think that if it had a short or open it would not come and go. Thanks

10 and 12 SI regs will interchange. Low voltage at reg terminal #2 will cause overcharge.

Will check voltage before driving car but if it is okay then it may be a while before it over charges again. I will let you know when/if I find something. Thanks
