Angry STOLEN 68 GTO Convertible PLEASE HELP!!!

STOLEN 68 GTO Convertible...
Car was discovered stolen 9/13/06am. This GTO has been in my family
since 1982. It belonged to my father and was purchased by me and my
husband 7 years ago so that one day it will be given to my now 8 year
old son. This car was a project car and was being stored under a
pavillion on East Lake Road in McDonough, Georgia. (on my husbands
parents property) Original color is beige, however it did have black
primer in many places. It also has a black convertible top and black
interior. Someone has reported they saw a roll back wrecker truck
hauling it out during the day on Thursday 9/7/06. This car is very
sentimental to me and my family. My father is a GTO nut and it really
meant alot to me that my son would one day drive this car. It did run.

i hope you filed a police report.

did you get a description of the rollback, a lot of time color will narrow the company down.

watch ebay, it may show up there.

I would also post the VIN in this thread. That way if anyone does a google search of the VIN, say in the event it is sold elsewhere and the buyer is researching the car, they will find this thread and see it is stolen.

From what I understand Summit Racing in McDonough, GA. has a cruise night every Monday. Might be a good place to hand out some flyers about your car. Also check to see if they have a bulletin board that you could post info about your car. Year One is in Braselton, you might want to do the same thing there. I too live in McDonough and it is very unsettleing when something like this happens close to home.

When the thieves are found, I'll dig the hole for their corpse for you. The only good theif is a dead one. But I do hope you get the car back.

Have you gone by every wrecker company in your town? you have to . Talk to the owner ask if he has a rollback not all wreckers companys do . in fact call every one first ,tell them you are gonna need your Vet... towed and ask them if they have a roll back that can do it.then go by there talk to the owner see if they had any calls that day for the rollback .if it was in the middle of the day it was on company time.who knows the theift could of just called a wrecker company and told them the car was his and to go pick it up for me.or the theift could work for a wrecker company he could be the driver .i think you should talk to the owner be nice tell him your problem and then ask him if there is a chance that one of his employs mite have done it.
Good luck.

No, I have worked around the clock for the last week...
I have hit all car cruises handing out flyers, I have posted reward signs all
in our area, I have sat on the dirt road it was last seen on and stopped
every car that passed and told my story, I have called all wrecker svcs.
in our area and gone by to many, faxed info to all car clubs, wrecker companies...
I really believe that it was someones private wrecker and I feel very
strongly that it is still in this general area.

I am still hoping we get it back...I am not givinig up!!!!

Larry called me the other day and told me about it being stolen. I will keep a look out for it or anyone trying to sell it.

Hope you get it back!
