Rally I rims off a '65 came with the car. I've got a bunch of pieces from other Ponchos; Vacuum Guage, 65 (late) Gauge Cluster Conversion, '65 LeMans Grab Bar, that make it what I want. No GTO hood though (on purpose). Still debating whether to put the gills back on the rear quarters - it looks so nice to keep it "clean". Any opinions?
Nice. If it were mine, I would put the gills back on and keep it as a Lemans.

I agree, the 65 style is my favorite. We got 16 inch's, I suspect you got the same. When the weather breaks, I'll pm you, maybe we can get together for a cup of coffee. Rich

Here is my friend's 65 Tempest. This car was purchased originally in Orlando at this dealership where this pic was taken. My friend bought this car from the original owner 15 years ago. It then sat on a lift in his garage until two years ago when he did a complete resto. A BUILT 400 is under the hood now although the original 326 is on a stand. The car originally a sea-form green color with a white painted top (it did have the vinyl top trim moldings on the car originally, but the top was painted white, not a vinyl top)...

This car has rubber floor mats and the only option it has is a/c. Cool car and FAST!!!

I can't tell from the pictures if you kept the 326 badges.

If so, nice call! I did that with mine, just to remain stealthy....

PS - the car looks great, by the way!

Yes Sir....I absolutely did keep the 326 tags. LOL. Thanks man...I love my freakin' rod. I know it ain't worth GTO price and I probably sunk too much money into it that I will never get back...but I love it and will never sell it. Getting ready to make some big changes though. Stuff I should have done to begin with like swapping out the rear for a posi with 3.77's or 3.55's haven't decided yet with disc brakes of course. Then convert the fronts as well. Also need to redo the interior and replacing the steering box as well as the steering column and wheel. Also, just bought some new AutoMeter gauges for it. Black face, white markings, red dial...the classic ones. Some other things like new motor mounts that are slightly taller. I need an extra inch or so to lift the engine a bit. Prolly put a GTO scoop on it. I'm probably going to need yalls help soon. You guys rock. Best forum out there. Thanks again.

I am restoring a 65 GTO post (coupe) car. A previous owner removed the hardware for the rear quarter windows. I've located the window regulator assemblies, but what I am missing is the (window guide assembly) and (window assembly which includes "clothespin nylon guide, this is the part that is pressed onto the bottom of the glass. If you would happen to have a copy of Pontiac GTO Restoration Guide 1964-1970 by Paul Zazarine & Chuck Roberts, it's shown on page 63 lower right hand corner. It's Item( D. window guide Assembly) and Item ( A. window assembly ( includes "cothespin" Nylon Guide at "1") These Items are the same for 64 & 65 Tempest, Lemans, GTO, sedans.
Any help you may provide in locating these Items would be greatly appreciated.

Default 64 'vert almost ready

It's a 64 triple black convertible, PHS documented 3 X 2 barrel, 4-speed. I'll be getting the top installed this month. It was really rough barn car when I bought it( bird-s**t all over, mice nests in the vents, etc) but after 6 years it's almost street ready.
