Default Blinker cancel cam

I replaced my blinker wiring and cancel cam on my 65 GTO. Now my blinker cancels right at straight ahead in one direction and doesn’t cancel in other direction unless I turn the wheel considerably more than the turn requires.
My question is what is the correct procedure for fixing this ?

Did everything work correctly before? Is your steering wheel centered when driving straight down the street? If your car's front end was aligned with the steering wheel crooked it will make the canceling different turning right from left.

Does it have an aftermarket steering wheel and adapter on it?

Add a picture of the installed cancel cam with the tires in the straight ahead position.

Default Update with more info

I bought the car about 4 years ago. Blinkers worked fine. I did a complete wiring job except for blinkers about 1 year after buying the car. Blinkers still working fine. I never really pay attention to where each direction was canceling at because they were working. They started not canceling about 2 or 3 months ago. I decided to replace the switch and cancel cam. We could not get the new cancel cam to work in one direction so we put the old one back in.
I noticed when we took steering wheel off the horn lug was around the 2 a clock position. The aftermarket steering wheel can only go in one position to align with all mounting holes and horn lug. If we index the horn lug to about the 10 a clock position the cancel cams work in both directions but the steering wheel will not be aligned correctly for straight ahead. I am very confused how this ever worked but I know it did.

Pretty sure I noticed this when I swapped over to aftermarket starring wheel. Grant to be correct.
Hub had the horn contact in different position so when trying to align new hub with cancel cam it got confusing.

It is a Grant aftermarket steering wheel.
How did you correct it?
I am thinking about re drilling the holes in my steering wheel.

My wheel has serval different spots where the wheel can be bolted to the hub, so I got it close. Then I believe I had an alignment done afterwards
and made the steering wheel centered during the alignment. Putting the cancel cam in original position And did alignment ETC after.

Thanks for the info.
I believe I will re-drill my steering wheel.
