Also have a 425 Oldsmobile engine. long block some pulleys engine was running 2 years ago. Do not know if it is as special as a 421 Pontiac but looks like small production engine. Will post numbers and pictures next week. $200 plus shipping Thanks Enrique

It's not as special as the 421, it never got the performance development, but it had a lot of potential. It's got a B/S relationship, 4.126/3.975, close to the 421, along with a forged crank. It was only made for three years before replaced by the 455.

65 and 66 425's had a 45° lifter bank angle, unlike the later Olds motors so cam were a bit more difficult. As stated all forged bottom ends and high nickel blocks.

My 66 442 had a 425 - very good motor.

If it was in Dallas I would take it... The Forged crank found in every 425 can be retro fitted to the GM 350 Olds Diesel Block (small block) as it used the larger BB Olds mains and with the mondo thick cylinder walls of the HD diesel block you can punch it out and make up to 450 cubic inch olds small block !
