I have read that the 383 ci made 375 hp with a stock 4bbl, little improvement then...

My M/T cross ram on some stock E heads flowed LESS than a single 4 manifold and were the same size as the ports-but they do look cool!

Great looking Street/Car Show intake but not ANYWHERE CLOSE to the later performance
intakes.

At some point I will add the EFI bungs and the gutted AFB carbs and it will be a nice car show intake.
Simple installation "FAST EFI" self learning hardware.

1) This is NOT THE PROPER THREAD to be talking about "other performance intakes" and their history.

2) But a slight bit of info: If "PROPERLY REWORKED", Jack Gaydosh ran 7.92 several times with a Larry W. Gutsram and two 1250 Dominator carbs. This is known info.

A couple of people have taken one of my Victor EFI intakes and split the intake in half (cut is along the Crankshaft centerline) and installed the intake on a 11" Tall Deck Pontiac Block). No performance data yet but might work really well with the larger reworked plenum. Not a Tunnel Ram Intake. A single 4 bbl intake for a Large Holley Carb. Not going to say anymore on that deal. Engine will be turbocharged. No info provided.

Please honor the Original Topic Starters thread and and post your own thread. This thread is about a redo of a historical intake.

I'm wondering if the admins could make this post and all the updates together and make it a sticky at the top of the page so all the information is together. Just a thought I am enjoying the process and the updates!

Tom Had to go from my 11.50 index to 11.75 two weekends ago. Will try next weekend at an nmca event in MI. Made a modification under the carbs and recurved the dizzy. I'll update you after. Thanks again. Notice I got the sd air cleaners to work but no carb spacers?

Mike wants to know what type of modification you have done so far?
