Default 32 years ago today... 12/10/1979

32 years ago today, 12/10/1979, I got my '75 Trans Am, 45,975 miles. The engine was rebuilt in '82 and I finally had it repainted in '97. I'm one of the lucky or smart ones that have been able to hang on to it this long. It's my first car and my only Pontiac.

Very nice! My first Pontiac was a 75 Trans Am too, black/red, 400/auto. I bought it in 1985 and sold it in 1987. I would like another one with a 4 speed.

Congratulations-definately the car is a keeper for many more years.

One of the pictures looks like you're at Crown Point for a Cruise night (Thursdays) if I'm not mistaken. I've seen a bunch of nice Pontiacs out there. Last year I saw a 70 TA with a Ram Air V aluminum block that was gorgeous, among others.

A friend had a 75 TA white/blue interior that was beautiful (early '80s). He sold it when he got in a high speed chase on I80 and had a bunch of legal bills.

Thats awesome. I've had my LeMans for over 5 years now and don't plan on parting with it anytime soon. Unfortunately, its not my first car. Only 1 friend of mine still has their first car. Its in shambles, but one day will be restored to its former glory.

You only have your 1st car once... If only the rest of us thought about that at the time.
