Default Nunzi Romano Not Gone

Edit: Happy to report that this is a false alarm. It did seem a little off to me that it was reported on the HAMB but no mention here...
Sorry Folks!

I have not seen anything here but saw it on the HAMB.

Sad news indeed.

Another legendary figure in the Pontiac world has passed.

RIP Nunzi.

Edit: Happy to see he’s still alive and still doing his Pontiac thing with his family!

Maybe someone has the time to put together a little Bio? I certainly know of his rep but am a little fuzzy on the details...

Good to hear he is still around, nice guy. I met him once when I brought my 70 Judge there to get the rear main seal fixed. When I still lived in Brooklyn. He told me he did not want to do it because it was like a $5 dollar part and it would be all labor. I think I was about 21 at the time. He said it might start leaking after he changed it. He was very up front and honest. Then he gave me one of his catalogs. Which I probably still have around somewhere. Like I said nice guy. Marc

I used to have dinner with Nunzi, Tommy, and Michael at Norwalk at least one night, each year, when they were racing at the track. We all stayed at the track and cooked on the grounds. Really enjoyed that courtesy by the Romano family.
One year, at Christmas, Nunzi sent me some of his home made wine. Really good people.

Do any old timers remember the story about Nunzi serving hot dogs and beans to his dinner guest?!

Tommy, I never met your dad (I am in California) but have admired him and his contribution to all things Pontiac since I got my first GTO in the 1970's. He was, and is 'The Man'. Glad he is doing fine!!

So are these also false? His son said above he's doing well. I changed the title of the thread to reflect that.

Crazy. This is exactly why I never look at the rip posts that people can’t wait to post when someone dies.

In the days of Walter Cronkite and Huntley and Brinkley, the news you heard or read about was something you could take to the bank as Gospel.

Today 90 % of what you read in the news is fake news spread by websites like Facebook.
And yet people are so naive that they actually believe this crap posted on the web.
