Default Correct 65-67 Fuel sending Unit ????

PY sells a 66-67 fuel sending unit (non-A/C, 5/16" fuel line) PN GMR93A. I found out the hard way that many vendors are re-selling the Spectra unit that fits the 66-67 gas tank but is only 0 to 35 ohms. The correct sending unit for 66-67 should be 0 to 90 ohms. With a full tank the resistance should read between 88 to 83 ohms per the 1966 GTO/Tempest Pontiac Shop Manual page 12-29. With a max of 35 ohms, the fuel gauge reads just above a 1/4 tank when the tank is full.

Before I order, can someone at PY check and see if PN GMR93A fuel sending unit is actually the correct 0 to 90 ohms or is it the Spectra unit that measures 0 to 35 ohms.

Thanks... Jim

Guys, I took home a GMR93A fuel sending unit from PY tonight and measured it with an Ohm meter. It did range from 0 to 98.1 ohms. I checked it several times just to be sure. I would say that PY's sending unit is good. GP Mike
