Default Goodmark hood hinges - Are they any good?

I need some new hood hinges for my '67 Lemans, and am considering buying a set of Goodmark hinges? Does anyone here have any good or bad luck with these? Thanks.

They cost quite a bit more from Ames, and for all I know, could be the same exact hinge.

Question

I bought a set from Ames at Norwalk, and they look really nice! I'm wondering if I need to paint them or not. Not sure if they are bare metal, they appear to have some kind of coating or plating.

They've been on my car less than a year and still look like day one. No plans to paint, unless the finish changes.

They are are phosphate... no need to paint just add some wd-40 on occasion with a towel. Remember cheaper isn't always better.

I bought a set from NPD and the hinges seem to do the job, but the springs are weak! My steel '67 Bird hood drops about a foot or so below fully open.
