Question Hydro cable TV?

I'm thinking about swapping my hydros TV linkage with a cable set up.
Anybody have any input or thoughts?

Thank you,
Jeff

Jeff, the geometry has to be correct at the top and on the bottom.

I was just thinking...... A cable set up might give a more "constant" movement and hold adjustment better.

I'm going to replace all the nylon bushings. My linkage is loose again which makes adjustment impossible. The bushings seem to last about 15,000 miles. I put that much on each year.

Steve, where do you get your bushings? I was going to try Depot tommorrow...

TV plays a very big part in how the trans acts in all gears. Ever notice how powerful the car feels in first and second without the TV connected? I found this out by mistake one day.

Hey Jeff...
Don't remember what size bushing you need for TV rod .....But perhaps you might try some of the brass/bronze bushing offered for repair of door hinges...
There are many differnt sizes and the are easy to work with..
NAPA generally carries them on one of their "display trees""
If they have to look up for a size it's part of the Balkamp product line..
Yep..TV rod adjustment is critical...

Steve, you missed it. Somebody posted before Jack who must of had a bad trip at Woodstock. It was the craziest post I ever saw. The moderators removed it.

Thanks for the tip Troy. I'm looking into brass, bronze and even ball bearing like the old eelco set ups. My nylon bushings are shot........
