Greg:

Is that a 4" or 6" lift kit in the suspension?

Hey Greg, you mentioned Judging... thought I'd let you in on a new service I have come up with... I will actually come up and pre-judge your car for free! Of course there is that "Test Drive Tech Session" I have added to the Judging process. We will now need to make sure the tires are rubber and smoke when requested, along with the new "Transmission Torture Test". You could be the first to take advantage of this new service, as demand increases, I may have to start charging.

No, why?

And will yours be judged by GTOAA?

If so, how do you think it'll do?

Getting a little testy there aren't you Greg? I know the engine is not in the car - that's why I teased you about the high stance. I find it very interesting that you have no problem dishing out little zingers about other's cars but you sure can't handle it whenever anyone zings you, even when it is done in good fun. My comment was in jest - you need to learn the difference.

While this hobby and this forum have a lot to do with the cars we all enjoy, it is more about the people rather than what kind or how many cars they have - or have bought and sold - or whatever. I'm not impressed so much by how many Ram Air IV or V cars a man has restored, or flipped or found in a barn - as I am by his character. I am beginning to figure yours out now.

BJ

Overuld- i AM a character. If you saw the hat i was wearing at the trans am nats-you would know that. It plainly said-A**HOLE-and i wore it proudly. Paul- i like your idea about pre-judging a car. I am surprised that no one has done it before. I have thought about it myself-having a car pre-judged. But that would take all the fun of arguing about points deducted at the GTOAA Nats!!!! I appreciate your offer for the trans and engine test-but thats the best part after restoring one.TAKE IT OUT AND BEAT ON IT!!! I like checking the posi the best-the EASY way!

BJ
not that he needs me to defend him, but he is invariably criticized by folks that more often than not do not even own a car...let alone restore them. I can attest to the fact that it gets old fast. Anyway...he does take pride in his work and knows his way around these cars. Just an FYI.

The car is already signed up for the Mecum auction in florida. End of january. I have taken 2 other Judges to the GTOAA NATS-and scored Gold with both. I dont see why this car would not do the same.

In defense of Greg, aka "the flipper". If I had the money to buy high dollar cars, restore them for myself and them sell them to move on to the next project, as opposed to working on someone elses car AND BUDGET, I would do the same. While I would not be able to sell every one, there are cars I have owned since 1983, I would probably be able to sell those bought for the purpose of "flipping", and be better off than I am now.
Working within someone else budget is tough, I have never been involved in an "open checkbook" restoration. Most guys want their car frame offed for 20K... anyone want my job? Parts alone are well over half that. Figure in my Million dollar liability insurance policy and all of the other bills, about 2200.00 per month to break even, and you'll quickly realize who is the dumb-ass here!
Yes, Greg is a character. Aren't we all in some way? The difference with Greg is he realizes it and embraces it!
Nice car Greg, -5 points for the black spoiler!

Actually... all options other than "the Judge" are allowed to be added. I guess it would pass.
