Default 5 3/4 Projector HID headlight, anyone know how?

Im trying to figure out how to make a 5 3/4 HID projector headlamp or someone who knows how to make one for a reasonable price, going on a 62 pontiac tempest, any good ideas or resources out there?

sickhids.com

"reasonable price" is a relative term. Better make sure what they build for you is legal in your state. True HIDs are blinding to other drivers if not properly installed.

Yes, I already talked to him, it would be about 1000 for the set of four

I upgraded all 4 of mine to Halogen sealed beams. Much better at night. Cant run high beams too long, burns up the dimmer switch.

Thats a lot of cash that can be better spent elsewhere on the car.

A grand is not out of line for what you’ll get, but what you’ll get would be out of place on anything less than a 40 grand pro-tour car.

That can't be good... is there a better dimmer? Anyone else experience this?

Relay kit should fix that issue.

Only happened once. Long trip at night to Twentynine Palms cali. All night driving on a 2 lane in the middle of nowhere. I have put together a relay system so the dimmer controls a relay for the high & low beams when they are on hi. Just have not installed it yet.

I seen a set of them plastic headlights that use the newer halogen bulbs.
They look just like the older ones only they don't have the ribs in the lens
like the old headlights. Not sure where to get them though. Maybe Speedway?

GT.
