In all seriousness though, I have that new or relatively new book called " Wide Track To Glory " by Bruegger, and it tells all about that cross country trip and how well the car performed. The book covers the Hot Rod Magazine's road test trip as well. The only thing it falls down on is when it talks about the 420A engines. Even though this engine only puts out 215 hp, it still produces somewhere around 359Ft.lbs of torque, and even with a 2.56 or 2.69 rear end the Super HydraMatic's first gear of 3.97 and 2nd of 2.55 is enough to pull tree stumps out of the ground. I would say leave that combination just the way it is, anyroad your not going to be buzzing the strip with a 4 dr. |
