Default 535 CV 1 head Turbo build

I am in the process adding a turbo to my 79 Trans Am.

The motor is a 535 cube CV 1 Head with convertible exhaust.

I am doing all the fab work myself.

I do have a post on PZ but not all of you are there so I figured to post it here as well

A few pictures of the before.

Default heads

Here are a few pictures of the heads after coming back from the Race Shop in Wisconsin. They opened up the chambers and performed the Convetrible exhaust work.

A few pics of the turbo fabbed up in the car behind the bumper cover, in front of the radiator. There was a good amount of cutting that had to be done to fit this particular turbo.
The bracket will bolt to the chassis bumper bracket as well as to the bumper itself.

Did you have to make any provisions for your steering shaft?

Very Nice !

What is that combo capable of HP/TQ?

The Covertible exhaust option on these CV 1 heads really makes the header fabrication quite easy. The only issue I had was on the #7 tube. I did have to use the magical hammer on the bend to give me that extra 3/8 I need to clear the upper steering knuckle. I am sure if I had more time I could have gotten it. Over the winter I will do it, as I need to be ready for Englishtown in two weeks.
As for the power, I am not sure, but I know I am well into the 1000+ range.

Thats my plan as well. It looks like the Chassis shop, updating my cage will have the final say. Thay are adding the halo, dash bars and a net. He says a week, but you know that story. They get it Monday.
I will be in the garage tommorow all day and part of Sunday getting most that I can done ao I will have only minimal stuff to do.

At minimum I want to make a few passes as a test and tune on the combination.

Hey Doc, the bird is out of Chris's place as of yesterday (Friday) afternoon so you're up dude. The rear FW came out really nice. He does good work - in and out in 1 day.
