While I'm here... If EFI... throttle body doesnt HAVE to be on top of plenum or even a four barrel design. Keep an open mind to other options.

You can get elbows to use the 5.0 and LS1 type throttle bodies as well. I thought about the soft plug also lol. I might check the size, I have a 5.0 Gt40 and LT1 intakes collecting dust.

Sure, use an elbow, LS throttle body that comes with GM's EFI conversion package (ECU, throttle by wire gas pedal, etc), and, tune it and you are off and running.

I think the GM package (elbow sold elsewhere) is under $900.

Tom i'm in for the plugs for the EFI intake. Also the only thing I have found with the Victor intakes is they require some trimming of the intake to allow for a wrench to fit on two of the bolts, I think they are #'s 2 and 4 on the torque sequence or unless you use bolts with allen heads in them. The alignment is on but when bolts screwed down you cant get a wrench on them.

Valve cover figment will also be an issue if you use any kind of stamped and some fabricated covers on the victor intake. I have used 3/8 and 7/16 head header bolts for the intake.

I have KRE D-Ports. I bought a set of old M/T cast valve covers from a member. I bought a set of 1 inch spacers form Paul spots so I will see no interference at all. My old TA had 6X heads and stamped metal covers. I had to cut and bend the flanges to clear the regular Victor runners. Mark L

We just use arp bolts with the smaller heads on the intake. And like said before the valve covers hit easy to fix though.

When you spend $165.00 plus shipping you can do a lot of extra messing with the intake to make everything work. When you spend $500, then it gets to be more irritation spending the same amount of money to make it work. In both cases the same mods are required usually.

Tom, any news for the plugs for the holes? No rush as I was only wondering as I just received my new intake. This is what a Pontiac part should cost, just like a SBC. Let us know, thanks.

Maybe Edelbrock can do a deal an EFI system for this intake. That would be most awesome but probably asking too much

Have a lead on a screw machine shop who can cut the plugs. Have a shop who can water jet the covers. Next step will be final design drawings and a trial fit in my intakes.
