Default salvage insurance

Do any of you have salvage insurance oh your car? I just took it out on my 67 GTO and my 1950 fastback, It was prorated for the year and came out to $42.00 for the rest of my covered year.. If my car is totaled I can still keep it,

I have Hagerty's 'Treasured Salvage' coverage on my cars. I can't remember exactly what the annual premium was, but it was quite reasonable - definitely under $100.00 per year for covering the GTO, the Camaro and the Caddy Limo.

I never heard of that. So if my car is totaled, I can get the agreed value stated on my policy plus keep the car?

Yes, Greg, that's exactly what it means. It's an optional rider you can put on your policy with Hagerty (and maybe some other specialty insurance companies).

I'm in Canada and have the same thing with Hagerty. I think it was around 60 bucks/year.

Mine will be about $50.00 a year for two cars, my 67 GTO and 1950 Pontiac Streamliner.
