Tach in place of clock
I am changing my 72 back to 100% street. I want to get rid of the tach on the steering column. Has anyone installed a reproduction tach in place of the clock?

Reach behind the dash, pull lighting and orange power leads, loosen the three mounting screws, turn clock slightly and remove.
IIRC the 71/72 tachs and clocks had slotted mounts making it easier to R/R. You will need a fused tach lead from the coil, available from our sponsor. Photos from my 68, your's will be similar.

I did that last winter in my 71 GTO. Not quite as easy as it sounds. Especially if you have factory A/C. The first thing I did was remove the driver's seat. Makes it a lot easier. If you do not have A/C, things will be easier. I did it for the same reason. Worth it in the end.
