Default Fremont 67 GTO "PONT" Floor Pan Stamping question

There is a "PONT" stamped in my Fremont 67 GTO and Fremont 67 LeMans on the floor pan to the rear of the spare tire mount. Is this stamping specific to the Fremont plant? What years had it? Was there some risk in mixing up the Chevrolet floor pans that they needed to stamp them like this?

I wasn't sure exactly where to look based on the photos in the previous posts, but I checked my trunk floor pretty thoroughly, couldn't find a stamp, even took out the spare tire to look.

My GTO was built in June 1967 at the Pontiac plant, trunk floor is original.
