Default 1963 Axle shaft U-joints

I've looked at the various posts here and elsewhere regarding new Axle shaft u-joints and the use of 315G and 316 Moog/Precision U-joints to create a usable joint using the caps from one on the body of the other, but I'm still left with questions. I bought one of each and swapped caps back and forth and still don't seem to have anything that matches the NOS U-joint that I'm comparing them to. What am I missing here ? My NOS U-joint is a Part # 5676478 unit in the original GM Parts "can" and the 315G and 316 U-joint are in the original Moog packaging. Interested to hear thoughts or opinions on the subject. I'd love to save my NOS joint and use a replacement if I can

Never mind, I rebuilt my original U-joints. I'll share some pic's of the originals, nos GM, and various nors brand units, various dimensions and cross reference charts sometime soon when I get the time.
Thanks!
