Large decal storage
Is it ok to keep large decals coiled in the tube for several years or should they be removed and layed out flat between cardboard?
decals are the large 72 TransAm stripe set. restoration delays have me concerned about the expensive stripes. |

I would lay them flat. My 80 bird decal sat for about two years in the tube. The backing paper came away from the vinal for three to four inches. The start stop area made lines in the vinal that were visable after it was installed. Was hoping exposed to the sun they would disappear but they are faint and still there over twenty years later.
