I'm shooting for mine to run 4.50s with twin 76s, and once its lined out with those, i'll put bigger turbos on it and expect it to run low 4.20s to mid teens...It'll be a drag week style car, with working AC...2900lbs with me in it. |

I could run that pro Street class!
Lots of should ofs with both of those cars but I guess you got to start some where…..! Wish my car weighed only 2,900! Hope you get there, maybe bring it to Norwalk. GTO George |

If its together by then, Norwalk is in the plans...As for the 2900lbs...Thats heavy by todays standards...

Meaning that most new builds come in lighter than 2900lbs...Carbon fiber, and Titanium is much more common these days...Since mine will see street duty, i've tried to limit the lightweight materials in key areas...

Its going to be worth it when its done though...It'll be a one-off car, and should run decent too. |

The "most" chassis cars that you are talking about, are purpose built to RACE ONLY...Everything is built around the idea that it doesnt have to drive long...My car will have a working heat/ac system, radio, steel doors and fenders, thicker windows, a large capacity cooling system, and an on-board transmission cooling system... If I can keep it under 2900lbs with an iron IA2 block, and my fat ass, i'm going to be very very happy...Sorry if you cant agree with that. |
