Is that laughter I hear from everybody other than you? Since this thread is about Tommy. What does he run? Maybe 3 times that 13 psi?

Looks like a 315 under his car on that 3.82 pass...anyone confirm? Video said that was initial shakedown this year.

Thats a good question i wonder how much boost he is running. 35-60 maybe?
I wonder if Tommy will have his 64 GTO with the Warp 6 heads on it at the Pontiac race at Norwalk this year?

There is a 275 which is about 10.83" wide and a 315 which is about 12.4" wide. How wide a tire do you run?

Same weight, same cid, a Pontiac will never run with a hemi, 481x, bbc or bbf, period. IMO, the Pontiac can be competitive at the small block weights with either a 136 blower or twins. I would use a billet block with either the bes/butler pro ports or billet heads. I would lean towards a billet head with all of that cylinder pressure. The big but is, if you have a billet block and billet head that does not have the factory port layout, is it still a Pontiac? If you are buying billet pieces, why limit yourself to the Pontiac bore spacing. Just makes sense with your dollars to just go 481x or hemi.

With 50 years of experience, its hard to understand how you could not know anything about a 315 radial...It has pretty much taken the heads up world over...

3.5o in a door car...THAT is something that every racer should know about...

But, in your case, I understand

Actually, there arent lots of 3.50 door cars in ProMod...As for talking about a real tire...The 315 went a 3.50 at a heavier weight, and with no wheelie bars...It is in fact, THE BADDEST tire on a door car...

I have no wheelie bars! Still haven't answered my question about the tires.
Tommy runs 295's?

You shouldnt need any George...But, keep in mind that we are talking about cars that run 3.50 in the 1/8th, not 5.05.

As for Tommy's tires...Last I knew, he was running Pro275...Can you guess what tire he should be on in that class?

Big tire cars with wheelie bars never crash? Just stop George, cause you are already making yourself look foolish yet again...
