Wanted: Used (any condition) original factory idler arm for 1967 GTO
I want to buy an original idler arm for a 1967 GTO just to compare and check casting numbers, etc.
Please email with what you have. I would like to buy several and really don't care how badly worn they are. They will not be installed...just cleaned up and examined. Thanks. Robert 6d7gto@gmail.com |

I removed the idler arm from my 67 Tempest and also from my 67 GTO. What should the part number be if either one of them is original?

Not sure myself. That's one of the reasons I am looking to buy one (or more). I think it is the same as the 1964 idler arm which is casting #5673347. If it has a casting number on it, more than likely it is original GM? If both arms have the same numbers, they probably are originals since all 1967 Pontiac A bodies use the same idler arms. Do you want to sell the old ones?

Casting Numbers:
5678347 43 522 from '67 Tempest, Baltimore Plant 5678347 GM B38 from '67 GTO, Fremont Plant Sorry, I won't be selling these but I thought I could help out with the casting identification.. These fit a 13/16 center link, aka 1st type. |

6d7gto... I will check the barn...soon, it's freaking cold here in NY. My Tempest is a Baltimore car and the GTO is a Fremont car. If they turn out to be originals I will sell them to you.

6d7gto...I found the Fremont idler arm. I also have the inner tie rods. I didn't realize you were looking for those too. I would have to go back and check part #'s to see if they're originals. They are in great condition though.
