Not yet, but body guy said to come get it next saturday, so will get a chance to take a couple pics then.

I still need to clean the garage up some to make room for it coming home. I have some parts I was going to clean and sell, but sadly, I may just have to box & store them for now.

I don't have good heat in the garage, so winter work out there will be limited. But every warm day I will get stuff done.

Out of curiosity, do you still have the old procharger setup?

Sorry no, sold it to fund the GTO build, along with the rotating assembly (separated parts).

Sold it to a member here, could probably go back and look to see the listing. Was probably around 2010-2016.

I sold a bunch from that original build, project morphed for a number of years, and mixed with other projects.

Looks like next Saturday I will pickup the 'bird, but will call during the week to ensure it's done before I go.

Another teaser pic, and still on target for Saturday pickup.

This pic gives a better idea of the color due to lighting.

I thrashed and got the garage cleaned up and organized, might look for a better heater so I can work in the winter. I don't want anything permanent since I hope to build a work shop in next couple years. But think something better than what I have may be in order.

Aaaaand, it's home, finally.

Cleared a spot for sorting part, spend the day in garage yesterday organizing parts.

Should be able to get started on it pretty quick, hoping assembly won't take too long.

I have some massive cleanup to do from being at the body shop, expected there would be some, but dang, it's a lot.

Assembly begins...

Taking more time to actually FIND the parts, everything was packed for my move, and some boxes are marked with just 'MISC'. Uhg.

Sound deadener going in, and fitting marker lights.

The marker lights' gaskets are too thick, not allowing the lights to mount flush with the bezel, going to have to find diff gaskets I guess.

Also, due to paint build up, marker bezels are a challenge to get to sit flush with the body. They won't be perfect, not going to rip into the paint as much as required to make it perfect.

Some markers will need to be shaped to sit flush in the bezels, not fun.

Still chopping away at the dynamat, got the tailights in, about to hang the bumper.

Once that's all done, will do the headliner, install the roll bar, and finish the rear deck.

Have some wire harness stuff to run before some of the interior goes in, but from the firewall back it's going together pretty smoothly.

Thumbs up

Your doing great work! 👍

Which headliner are you going with?

I'm looking forward to the roll bar installation.

Both of those are on my to do list.

I'm using a late-73 & 74 hard plastic backing type headliner, has the material bonded to it.

I need to switch to that to give more room for the roll bar.

Those Hooker roll bars are very popular, and can still be found if you are patient and search.

I was lucky and bought one back in the day new.

Really looking forward to the headliner installation notes, now I know there's more headroom to be gained!

Hung the bumper, it was a little tweaked, was able to bend it slightly back to fit.

Only one small paint nick, pretty much hidden by the bumper, but will touch it up anyway.

Will work on finishing up stuff in the trunk today, and move forward to the compartment. Seems to be moving right along at a decent pace.

Man, you're making some serious progress! Wondering if you plan on installing anything over the Dynamite (e.g., close cell foam, mass loaded vinyl) before the carpet goes in?

Yes, Dynaliner will go over the Dynamat, floorboard and firewall. I remove the backing on the carpet so it lays correctly. Dynaliner is a much better barrier than the jute.

Have the trunk close to being done, have the trunk mat in there, looks like I will have to heat it a little to relax it. Will probably trim it some where it meets the seat divider so it lays better.

Mocked up the amp board(s) and covering them today, will get those setup and installed today, along with the package tray MDF base & enclosure.

I will get better pics and post later today or early tomorrow.
