NOS crosflow muffler
Found a NOS GM 495854 muffler . Please help ID. I know it's for a firebird, Date code is 12/ 78. I think it's a replacement for a SD?

Nice find !
As far as I know it was the 73 and 74 SD 455 motors that got the cross flow type out of all of the GM F body cars! It was also found that even with the factory crossflow set up that the SD lost near 90 hp @ 6000 rpm!

Box part # refers to 73-4 Super Duty, Inside box must be SR replacement for 76?
